Why the merger?

The owners of Coastal Payroll and Paystar have known each other for years; Paystar is excited to improve its technology and has wanted to do so for quite some time. Coastal Payroll offers a leading-edge software called iSolved that allows its clients to streamline processes and reduce manual labor. The owners of Paystar have been looking for a partner that will bring great value to their clients and employees while allowing them to take a step back from the demands they’ve carried for 26 years.

Are my prices going up?

No. Prices will be honored as they are today.

What should I expect or what action do I need to take? How does this impact me?

You will receive an email from Paystar asking you to sign new service agreements. Please sign those and you will be contacted by a representative to discuss the seamless conversion process from Paystar’s system, Paychoice, to our new system, iSolved.

Are my valued contacts at PayStar going away?

No. Although Paystar’s name is changing to Coastal Payroll, you will continue to communicate with the Mill Valley team members you have grown to love over the years.

Is there better technology for my team?

The iSolved system is a full pre-hire to retire workforce management system. This means clients with one employee are able to process payroll simply — while clients with thousands of employees can manage their workforce with a single database and robust system.

Are the services going to be the same?

Yes. Your services will remain the same. However, with the change, more services are available to clients who would like to leverage additional solutions.
